VC4Africa partners with splinter.me to help its members better showcase their professional profiles

We are happy to announce our partnership with the startup community VC4Africa through which their members are given now the possibility to display their splinter.me profiles on their member profiles and on their job applications inside the community.

VC4Africa is the largest and fastest growing community of entrepreneurs and investors building promising companies in Africa. At the moment it gathers 12.500+ members from 1000+ ventures in 30 African countries and investors with an interest in the region from 159 countries around the world.

Their recently launched job board for the local ventures, VC4Africa Talent, encourages now applicants to include in their approach message to the employer also their splinter.me profile to better showcase their professional image.

Bill Zimmerman, the Co-Founder of VC4Africa and an early adopter of splinter.me, said about this partnership:

“We’re very excited about integrating Splinter profiles with VC4A.

At VC4A, we believe in putting entrepreneurs in control and giving them access to the best available tools and services. Building a great company requires access to the right network, expertise and knowledge along the way. It also means having an exceptional team in place to execute the vision. For this reason, we recently launched VC4A Talent, a free recruitment service for startups.

We see Splinter.me as one of the top online tools for job seekers to put their best foot forward. Creating a professional, 360-degree profile with Splinter could not be simpler, and the results are displayed in less than a second.

We’ve also followed the story of Splinter’s founders and had many positive interactions with Ahmed and Adelina, the two co-founders behind splinter.me, so partnering with them to match job seekers with hiring companies was a natural fit.”

We are as well very honored to start this partnership and we hope that together we can help the emerging startup community in Africa with better ways to connect local talents with work opportunities inside the ventures.

Manual first (while in beta) – testing hiring talents, the traditional way

We stand for making the hiring process much easier, by directly matchmaking talents with recruiters and removing the long process of posting jobs, receiving and filtering applications etc.

However, while we are in public beta, we will still use the manual process of hiring (quite frequently used in startups), automatizing it slowly slowly.

Therefore, expect to see some jobs postings on splinter.me in the upcoming period. But don’t get used to it :)

For the moment, we will use the job postings and applications system in order to:

  • understand better the needs of recruiters
  • bring work opportunities to our talent pool

Companies interested in hiring, please contact adelina [at] splinter.me for promoting work opportunities on our platform. Meanwhile, you can also try our Splinter LookUp to find talents, our aggregated Common Connections to see how you can get introduced and our Splinter Talk to message each other.

Talents interested in work opportunities, follow our  and apply using your splinter profile to promoted jobs. You might want to add more tools and social networks to your profile first.

We will develop our promised features with the learning we get on the way and in a few months we will be ready to do simple matchmaking for you!

The search for the work you love

At splinter.me we have a mission: to help talents discover the work opportunities where they fit most.

Unfortunately, 80% of people are not happy with their jobs. Some because they don’t know exactly what could make them happy at work, other because they don’t know how to reach their dreams  and think it is not possible.

“You are the average of the 5 people you spend the most time with”. Better be in places that can take you further.

Watch the video below on the matter and then drop by our platform. We will help you surround yourself with other great talents on splinter.me that can inspire you, give you career recommendations based on the big data we interpret and help you find the work that truly fits you.
